Paula Wright

hello and welcome to my website

When life becomes a struggle, it can feel daunting to know what to do, where to start, who to talk to.

Sometimes we know what is causing our distress and unhappiness but feel unable to change it. We feel we have lost our way, finding it difficult to know which way to turn.

Sometimes it can be difficult to identify where these feelings come from but have a sense they are there and may have been for a while. We feel we have lost touch with who we are and what would best support us.

However you are feeling I will help and support you to gain new awareness and insight about yourself and what is important to you. I will help you develop stronger resources and resilience and find new ways forward to a fuller, more satisfying life.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor offering you a safe and confidential space to talk freely. I will not judge you but listen with sensitivity and empathy to what is troubling you.

Please take your time to read through my website and contact me if you have any questions.

If you would like to book a free consultation please contact me.

"May this be a safe place full of understanding and acceptance, where you can be as you are without the need of any mask of pretense or image."

working with nature

I offer clients the opportunity to experience walk and talk therapy sessions; connecting with themselves through nature and all that it has to offer us.  Clients find these sessions particularly helpful in reducing anxiety and depression.  These sessions can be a gentle introduction into therapy and if you would like to know more please contact me.

tapping into our creativity

Sometimes people can struggle to express how they are feeling.  They feel unable to find the words and feel blocked making it difficult to make progress.  Working creatively can offer another way to access these feelings bringing new meaning and understanding.

Working creatively is not about producing a masterpiece; far from it. It is more about the process of allowing ourselves to think and feel more freely and discover hidden strenghts and resources.

"Mindfulness is about being fully awake in our lives. It is about perceiving the exquisite vividness of each moment.  We feel more alive. We can also gain immediate access to our own powerful inner resources for insight, transformation and healing.

Jon Kabat-Zinn

"Being present doesn't solve all your problems, but it does enrich your experiences.  It helps you to choose your reactions to life's inevitable ups and downs and increase your ability to feel joy and let go of judgement."
